Sad…

Third, see this observance for what it really is — an unintended testimony to the existence of God and the foolishness of those who deny Him. The sheer foolishness of a blasphemy contest with t-shirts and mugs betrays the lunacy of it all. They can do no better than this? One testimony to the power of God is the fact that his self-declared enemies come off as so childish and manic. The heathen rage and God sees the foolish grasshoppers.

Since mid-July, the petition for Gao Zhisheng has recorded over 110,000 signatures, calling for his release from the custody of the Chinese government. According to a contact, Press Secretary Baodong from the Chinese Embassy in Washington DC recently asserted that Gao Zhisheng was officially held on charges for attacking the Chinese government, and was released on parole in August. Inside resources with ChinaAid can confirm that Gao is alive, but his condition and whereabouts are still unknown.

We thank all FreeGao supporters for your concerns and contributions, and ask that you continue to raise awareness of Gao’s case until he is freed, with his full rights as a Chinese citizen lawfully restored. While the Chinese government has verbally decided to acknowledge the case, there can be no resolution with his absence and unknown condition still weighing on the minds and hearts of his supporters.

Thanks to your help, ChinaAid has persisted in meeting and working with concerned officials from governments of the free world, presenting the petition signatures as a sign of international support – and Gao Zhisheng’s case has not been forgotten.

I’m pretty sure I’ve posted… if not the same sermon… one pretty close to this. But I think it’s important… so here it is again.

There is no living a life that is wicked–and then dying a death that is righteous.

Many talk like a Christian–but few walk like a Christian!

Many know what is to be done–but never do what is to be done.

Many wear Christ’s livery–but do the devil’s drudgery!

Many have hands as white as snow–whose hearts are as black as hell!

Many appear righteous–who are only righteous in their appearance. But such as deceive others with a false show of holiness–only deceive themselves with a false hope of happiness!

Remember, sirs, that the sheep’s coat shall be stripped off the wolf’s back! “They come to you in sheep’s clothing–but inwardly they are ferocious wolves!” Matthew 7:15

Oh, sirs, that you would consider well these weighty things! Tell me, sir–what did Judas get by all his deceitful dealings? Nothing but a halter–in which his body was hanged; and a fire–in which his soul was burned!
